Buying Checklist
Used Tech Buying Checklist
Check a second-hand phone, tablet, laptop, console, or gadget before you hand over the money.

Check Before You Pay
Pick the device type, tick what you have checked, and use the result as a quick buying sanity check. It is deliberately practical: the goal is to avoid locked devices, tired batteries, hidden damage, and missing accessories.
My Buying Rule
If the seller will not give you time to test the device, I would walk away. A decent used-tech deal should survive ten minutes of checking.
The big traps are not usually scratches. They are account locks, weak batteries, damaged ports, missing chargers, short software support, and sellers who want you to pay before the device has proved itself.
